Limoges benefits from its strategic geographical location in the heart of France and at the crossroads of major European routes:

  • The A20 highway: Barcelona-London axis, toll free over 300 Km
  • The A89 highway: Bordeaux-Lyon axis,
  • The Central Europe Atlantic Route: Nantes-Geneva axis.
  • Limoges Bellegarde International Airport (300,000 passengers /year)
  • The SNCF Paris-Toulouse-Barcelona railway.

Available real estate

 

 Limoges conurbation has developed three initiatives:

  • Set-up assistance for businesses provided by the ESTER Technopole cluster and its operational network, as well as business creation and development organizations (technological incubators, enterprise zones etc.),
  • 1300 hectares of real estate available and a further 750 hectares in the medium term.
  • And all of the industrial areas are planned and constructed strictly in line with environmental standards.

The University of Limoges has built its reputation on a wide range of disciplines and innovation.

Universities and training colleges offering 480 diplomas (IUT, IAE, IPAG, engineering schools including: ENSCI (the national college of industrial engineering) and SUP-REHA - the national college for natural habitat and living environment remediation studies.

The Conurbation's Agenda 21:

This is based upon three main lines of action: energy management and the fight against global warming, knowledge, preservation and development of the heritage, eco-responsibility and solidarity in everyday life.

The territorial climate plan:

A tool by which to implement the first main line of Agenda 21, a Territorial Climate Plan was launched in 2010. It will enable a balance sheet of greenhouse gas emissions to be drawn up and a joint action plan to be launched in cooperation with all of the local actors with a view to reducing these levels.
