In November 2008, several investment promotion agencies of France decided to create the Ecoterritoires network to support the development of Green Business in their region.

The Ecoteritoires provide cleantech companies a full specific packaged support made on a bespoke basis for their setting up projects including:

• Real estate and land possible solutions (premises, offices, warehouses, production plant…) or land available, business parks, …
• Financial assistance: local help and support, public financial incentives, tax issues, possible fund raising from private equity…
• Accessibility, facilities and business environment: Roadways, motorways, high speed trains and airports links, potential suppliers or sub-contractors, skills and employment, research and development, tax environment, wage costs, natural resources,…

In order to encourage the cleantech companies’ investments, the Ecoterritoires are building a favorable business ecosystem:

• Special infrastructures and equipments: Sustainable Business Parks, Green Business incubators, Renewable Energy and Environment clusters…

Specific incentives programs to boost the creation and the development of cleantechs firms

• Networking with cleantechs companies within each region to develop business links and opportunities within their members.
